Coulee’s is dealing with the effects of the first chemo treatment. Not interested in food…only interested in puking. Called the vet and we are getting some antibiotics and some anti-nausea meds. A very kind woman named Ellen was at the vet when I called in. She also lives in Mammoth (our vet is 45 minutes away) and is bring the meds back with her and will call me when she gets in to town so I can get them from her.
Watching the news…horrified. overwhelmed. disgusted with the human race. If the world really does end next week (12-21-12) maybe it’s for the best. I don’t understand how we have gotten here..we are not safe at work, at school, shopping, at the movies AND the people committing these unthinkable acts – we have failed them.
I am sorry that Coulee is feeling the effects of the chemo. Hope the meds help. For what it’s worth, Zeus got sick one time after his first chemo and for each subsequent treatment the vet acted proactively by giving a Cerenia injection with each chemo treatment. That seemed to do the trick.
I have to admit, I had the same exact thought about the Mayan calendar issue. Sad that we have begun to feel that way, isn’t it?
Coulee, I hope you feel better soon my friend. Those meds should perk you up in no time. What a pawesome friend you’ve found there to bring them to you.
I hear ya on the shootings. Ugh.
I don’t know what to think or what will happen, but I know that people are intrinsically good, and we just have to keep the faith that good prevails, always.
The not feeling like eating is pretty common after chemo. Max was the same way. He’d skip meals for a day or so, then he’d be back to normal. If you haven’t already, you might want to try cooked chicken. Even when Max didn’t feel like eating, he’d eat that! And the anti-nausea meds are a good idea. Max took them too, and I think they helped a lot.
